After spending over 15 years in various health, safety, and environmental management leadership roles, Chris managed factories in both Ireland and Italy and was a Global Operations Director for one of the company’s product lines. Today, he is happy to again be “a safety guy,” working as a Director of HSE for Aptar, a leading manufacturer of closures for food and beverage, beauty and health, and pharmaceutical products. Having spent time in operations, he has a unique perspective on the role of the HSE professional, the day-to-day pressures of leading a business, and how to drive culture change. Chris is a chemical engineer by education and enjoys organizational design, understanding human performance, and driving employee engagement for culture change.
