Dan Schibel is the Global Sustainability Manager at Aveda. In his role, Dan provides insight and guidance to the organization to promote the Aveda Mission. He focuses on energy, waste, water, supply chain ingredients, packaging, and other aspects along the value chain to understand and reduce environmental impacts and operational risks.

In his role, he has implemented energy reduction tasks and capital projects within manufacturing; examined crop water risks on commodity and high value essential oil crops with R&D and Global Supplier Relations; provided procedures to retail locations on hazardous waste and recycling programs; engaged a third party vendor to increase recycling for hard-to-recycle items at Aveda headquarters and developed a biennial corporate responsibility report for Aveda.

Currently, Dan is the president of the Corporate Volunteerism Council for the Twin Cities and is active in the Minnesota Sustainable Growth Coalition and the Sustainability Practitioners Roundtable.
